On Arrival
To try and keep players having different partners for each event groups and players will be
picked at random.
At the clubhouse balls will be drawn to determine who will be in each group.
Tee Off
All rounds will be played off yellow tees
Simple Stroke Counting
Each player counts the total number of strokes taken to complete each hole.
Players are not allowed to mark their own scorecard this must be done by another player
in your group.
Handicap Calculation
Handicaps are used to calculate net scores by subtracting strokes from the gross score.
Handicaps will be calculated and adjusted through the ParUp Golf App.
Example
10 = 80)
If a player has a gross score of 90 and a handicap of 10, their net score would be 80 (90 -
Lowest Score Wins
The player with the lowest total number of strokes after handicap calculations wins the
round.
Cutting Winners
When a player wins a competition their handicap is reduced, meaning they will receive
fewer strokes in future rounds.
ParUp Golf App will automatically update players handicap.

Water Hazards
In the event of landing in a water hazard:
The player can drop a ball within two club-lengths of the point where the ball last crossed
the margin of the hazard.
1 shot penalty
Out of Bounds
In the event of landing out of bounds:
The player can drop a ball within two club-lengths of the point where the ball last crossed
the margin of the hazard.
1 shot penalty
Balls Deemed Unplayable
Ball can be moved 2 club lengths from where the ball lies.
1 shot penalty
Preferred Lies
Only balls landing on the fairways, grass between the end of the fairway and the green,
and the first cut
around the green are areas for preferred lies.
Balls can be moved 6 inches from its original lie.
Longest Drive / Nearest The Pin
Longest drives must finish on the fairway to be determined as legal.
Players are required to mark their longest drive with the assigned marker.
Players must write their name on the provided longest drive marker.
The last group of players are responsible for collecting and returning the marker.
Nearest the pin must finish on the green to be determined as legal.
Players are required to mark their nearest the pin shot with the assigned marker.
Players must write their name on the provided nearest the pin marker.
The last group of players are responsible for collecting and returning the marker.
Players can view the longest drive and nearest the pin information through the ParUp Golf
App and will also be reminded before tee off.
Optimists Society Trophies
Winners trophies will be presented in the clubhouse after the event.
Winning players are responsible for returning trophies at the next event.
